Application - How to use the waterproofing spray:

For the best results: Always clean items briefly beforehand. However, you do not need to dry them before you start.

• Cover your work surface. Spread out the object - e.g. set up the tent and get it wet.
• Spray the product evenly on the outside. Avoid backpack straps.
• Wait about 2 minutes, then wipe off any excess waterproofing agent with a damp cloth.
• Check carefully to make sure you have really got all the spots.
• Check again after a few minutes and remove any residue with a damp cloth.

* If you do not remove the excess product, it may stain. It is best to test on an inconspicuous area first.

Note: Use about 50 ml of product per 1 m² of fabric.

This is a guideline - depending on the condition of the material, it may be a little more or less.

So that the impregnation lasts a long time: For cleaning, it is best to use Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarWash® - not a normal detergent!

If you treat your products with Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarProof® , you do not need heat to activate the water-repellent layer (DWR).

The DWR effect and UV protection are created as soon as the fabric is dry. So: let it dry well before packing!

Using Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarWash can double the effective life of your gear by cleaning and protecting against UV damage, while revitalizing durable water repellency (DWR) to repel rain.

Application - How to use:

• Set up tent or lay item flat and cover work surface.
• Spray the product evenly on the outside of the fabric. For larger items, it is best to work in sections.
• Rub in well with a damp cloth or sponge - especially where it is really dirty. If necessary, you can also use a soft nylon brush to get rid of stubborn stains.
• Then rinse thoroughly with clean water and a cloth or sponge.

Drying:

Allow the equipment to air dry. Allow to dry completely before repacking.

* If you do not rinse off the excess product properly, stains may occur. It is best to test the product on an inconspicuous area beforehand.

The amount required depends on the condition of the material - so this is only a rough guide.
